Hopefully all this info gives you an idea of what's currently going on. My goals for next wipe and the consequent updated spreadsheet are:Ģnd: Publish "Flashhider, Compensator & Muzzlebrake Guide"- Spreadsheetģrd: Release a future version with API features.īit of a longer message, but like I said: I am always trying to be as honest & transparent as possible. Those messages are the best way to motivate myself & can help a lot to get over my current "tarkov burnout". Over the last weeks & months, there was quite some people writing me on reddit, discord or just commented on the post like you did. However, I am currently working on future API- features that I wanna implement (more details in the header line within the spreadsheet). This means that I do not expect to update the sheet for this wipe. I needed a break and this is what I am doing right now. I am not enjoying playing the game - I am not even enjoying watching the game in streams or so. The current wipe is the 4th wipe I am playing this game and the changes to weapon stats, the current cheating issue, server performance or small things like BTC prices completely ruining the economy somehow burnt me out. In case the game changes in a way to make such comparison possible I will test it and add it - mark my words ! :Dįirst of all I wanna say that I am both surprised & happy to see that there's still people like you interested in the sheet (even though I haven't updated in quite some time). Just wanna open up my thoughts about that particular topic. In order to put this characteristic into the spreadsheet, I would need the length of every muzzle devices - and that´s a problem because we don´t have that numbers AFAIK. So even though one particular suppressor might have the best stats, it might be way too big for the gun. And if you ever used a long-barrel SA-58 silenced with a WaveQD fighting CQB, the gun can make you loose gunfights because its too long and you´re in a small room or door frame let´s say. The bigger the silencer, the bigger the gun. General rule of thumb - the bigger the suppressor, the bigger the ergo punishment. And even if I found a 2nd person willing to spend incredible amounts of time on this, the result is still not that reliable. The amount of variables affecting sound is just too big for a single person to test it. I hope you see where i am heading with this. So what round to use for each caliber? The meta round like BS, M995 and M62s ? The default one inside the pre-sets you buy from traders? Do we use Steam audio ? Do I use Stereo sound or 7.1 when testing? Should I test without Comtacs to ease the testing (even though most players know about the Comtacs meta) ? What measurement do I use to compare noise? Record the gunshot and measure the decibel? ![]() We´re talking about different muzzle devices for different calibers so there is no general round I can use. I would love to add something like that but i just don´t think it´s possible to figure it out. I totally agree with the point you´re making but testing Functionality in Tarkov is impossible to test (at least in the current version of the game). In case the traffic is too high, I´m gonna upload a couple backups as well. Ultimately I just wanna mention that I will keep track about the usage traffic of the document. If so, I might do another spreadsheet for flash hiders & muzzle brakes. It may happen that BSG slightly changes the stats of some suppressors without mentioning it in the Patch notes.Īnyways, I am really happy about how it turned out and more than interested if this kind of guide is helpful to especially new players. This is a 1-man project so please be aware of something: I cannot promise the guide will always be up-to-date so check the Patch version in the header of the spreadsheet. In case you find a mistake, please let me know. Feedback is more than welcome and you find my contact details in the spreadsheet. If you´re new to the game or if you´re tired of comparing different suppressors on the flea market, this comprehensive spreadsheet is for you (Link on top).Īfter a long time, I am finally done with (hopefully) the best guide to compare different suppressors in the game.
